Fenix
The weather on that day wasn’t on its best. Went to Fenix for lunch and expecting much for their dishes as the restaurant is owned by Gary Mehigan, one of the Masterchef judges. On Sunday, they only serve their lunch menu which contains 11 selected dishes from entree to dessert. To be honest, out of 11 dishes, I can only enjoyed 3 of them.
First serve was the Entree..
Salad?
Crab Balls with Watermelon and Cheese
Caramelised Onion
I can only enjoyed the Crab Balls from the Entree selections as the others weren’t that special. Salad, not a fan of salad and look at them, not that interesting. Caramelised Onion was, oh well it’s caramelised onion. nothing special.
Next is the Main Dishes..
Beef Cheese
Roasted Chicken
Risotto
Their Beef Cheese was not bad but the Roasted Chicken? Nando’s chicken is way much better than those.
Last but not least, the dessert..
Sourdough Chocolate
Chocolate Caramel Mouse.
Dessert was the only part that I enjoyed the most from Fenix. Nothing more to say.
If you are planning to try this restaurant, I advise you not to go on Sunday, as they don’t have any other menu than their Sunday Lunch set menu. For the $65 set menu, I’ll better go somewhere else. On the other hand, I might give it a try again later for another dishes.
